The Abandoned Fort de la Chartreuse - Liegè
Perched above Liège, Fort de la Chartreuse was built by the Dutch between 1817–1823 to defend the city. After the revolution of 1830, it came into Belgian hands. Decommissioned in 1891, it was converted into a barracks. During both world wars, it was used as a German prison. The Belgian army left in 1988. Now abandoned, the fort is slowly crumbling.🇧🇪
