Muse "Origin of Symmetry" Reaction: This Album Treats Distortion as an Instrument

The Warning Army fans told me Muse was an inspiration for them, and that's how I ended up here. I picked the original, not the remaster, because I learned my lesson on the Pink Floyd one. Listened on AirPods Max in lossless. The thing I could not stop thinking about across this whole album is the fuzz. Almost every track has this crispy, staticky distortion on the instruments and sometimes the vocals, and I kept asking whether that's their permanent sound or just this record. Micro Cuts, track 7, is where the vocal goes somewhere I genuinely did not think a human voice could reach.
