FYIC 2026 Day 2 | Schlingl Circular Fragment | Zentangle Practice

Welcome to Day 2 of FYIC 2026 - A Fragment of Your Imagination 🎨 Today’s fragment is Schlingl, a circular fragment designed by Ela Rieger. In this lesson, I explore how this fragment behaves when placed inside a more detailed reticulum, rather than keeping every fragment the same size. As the tile develops, some of the fragments become quite small - which is a great reminder that: fragments don’t all need to be identical you can vary the scale within a composition sometimes you’re giving an idea of a fragment, rather than a full, detailed version This approach allows for more flexibility and play, while still keeping the overall tile balanced and cohesive.
