FYIC 2026 Day 3 | GTM8 Triangular Fragment | Zentangle Practice

Welcome to Day 3 of FYIC 2026 - A Fragment of Your Imagination 🎨 Today’s fragment is GTM8, a triangular fragment by Gildo Sobrino. In this lesson, I explore how this fragment behaves when placed inside a reticulum made up of triangles of different sizes, rather than keeping everything uniform. As the tile develops, I: vary the scale of the triangular fragments reverse and mirror the triangle explore how orientation changes the overall feel of the piece Even on a small tile, these simple changes create a really interesting result and show how much movement and variety you can achieve from a single fragment. This lesson is part of the Fragment of Your Imagination Challenge 2026, hosted by 7 Forests 5 Rivers in collaboration with Musterquelle. As part of the challenge, I’m sharing: a full narrated lesson each day here on YouTube a timelapse reel across my social channels Every four days, I’ll also be sharing an additional video where I combine the previous four fragments onto a regular Zentangle tile, using a custom reticulum with square, circle, triangle, and seed-shaped fragments. 📄 Helpful Links 👉 FYIC 2026 Challenge info (7 Forests 5 Rivers): https://sevenforests.wordpress.com/20... 👉 FYIC 2026 PDF handout: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iuES... 👉 Free Introduction to Zentangle lesson: https://ivys-corner.com/free-intro 👉 Blog: Understanding Fragments and Reticula: https://ivys-corner.com/understanding... ☕ Support my work on Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/ivyscorner If you’re drawing along, I’d love to see what you create.
