ABC"2" of RAILWAYS: M is for MARYLEBONE
A video reminder that in the 1980's MARYLEBONE was the only London terminus that offered a regular service of steam-hauled excursions. The popularity of their weekend 'Shakespeare' trains to Stratford upon Avon persuaded operators to press for access for their steam-hauled trains to other stations such as Paddington and Victoria. The film features four locos that have not been seen on the mainline for some time.
