La pêche à la mouche

The brown trout is one of the most beautiful freshwater fish in our country. In this video, we target large specimens during a trip to Normandy, on the Sée River. The trout are active and there are many surface feeders. The fishing is excellent: the large trout attack our flies on the surface, and they show us their magnificent coat during beautiful fights in the clear waters. Daniel, a fishing specialist on this river, tells us about fly fishing equipment and explains the technique, including the gestures. I catch a parr, that is, a young salmon that has not yet migrated to the sea. I take advantage of these catches to present the identification and biology of the brown trout and the Atlantic salmon.
