A lot of people told me the Triumph Trident 660 is the perfect first bike and honestly, I was sceptical. With over 90 bhp on tap, how could this thing be a beginner's motorcycle? So I threw a leg over one in the rain to find out. My plan was simple: a gentle ride around town to see how it handles typical British weather. But something happened. The Trident 660 is so smooth, so confidence-inspiring, that I just... kept going. Before I knew it, I was up on the Peak District moors in howling wind and driving rain, and I was still grinning from ear to ear. Is this really the best starter bike money can buy?
