My BMW E38 - One Fix, Many Mistakes
The BMW E38's smoking problem turned out to be more than just a simple oil leak. After spotting smoke coming from the engine bay following the last service, it was time to dig a little deeper and finally tackle the rocker cover gasket. Of course, things didn't go entirely to plan. There were a few mistakes along the way, a couple of lessons learned, and the usual battle with ageing BMW parts. But with fresh gaskets fitted and the leak sorted, hopefully this old 7 Series is one step closer to being the dependable luxury cruiser it deserves to be. Every repair gets us a little closer to the ultimate goal: one day owning a BMW E31. #BMWE38 #BMWClassic #JackOfOldCars
