Jacques II : et si la "Glorieuse Révolution" n'était qu'un coup d'Etat ? Passé-Présent - TVL

At its head: William of Orange, Prince of the United Provinces. He did not come as a conqueror. He had been invited—by seven English Protestant lords—to take the crown of a reigning king. This king was James II of England. Stuart. Catholic. Son of a beheaded king. In a few weeks, without a decisive battle, he lost everything: his army, his generals, his sons, his throne. And he fled—to France, to Louis XIV, to exile. History remembers the event as the Glorious Revolution. A triumph of liberty and parliamentarianism, it is said. Bertrand de Ramondy, however, sees something else entirely: a dynastic power grab, orchestrated from within, against a king whose only crime was his faith. His book, "James II of England, the Tragedy of a Stuart," published by Godefroy de Bouillon, is a deliberate counter-interpretation of one of the least understood turning points in British history. _____________________________________________________________________ 🔵⚪🔴 To donate to TVL: https://tvlibertes.faites-un-don.com/ _____________________________________________________________________ 🔵 Official website: https://www.tvl.fr 🔵 Social media: / tvlibertes https://twitter.com/tvlofficiel?lang=fr / tvl_officiel / tvlofficiel https://t.me/TVLofficiel #history #england #brittanymonarchy
