MATCHBOX restoration: 34C Volkswagen Camper

I've had restored the 34A Volkswagen Microvan, the 34B Volkswagen Caravette, and now the 34C Volkswagen Camper. The Camper was an improvement on the previous Caravette which to me had some strange proportions. The wheels compared to the body seemed too small. The sunroof was too large. The interior was too basic - it was made up of metal pieces riveted on to the base. This casting carried over the opening side doors from the Caravette but it gained an orange plastic interior which gave the added benefit of suspension. It initially appeared with a raised roof that replicated the canvas pop-up roof of a T1 camper. However, likely due to casting weakness in the raised roof structure, this was soon deleted in favour of a 'lowered' roof. Both versions were produced in high volumes so either type can readily be found. My low roofed casting was badly damaged, missing a door, interior table and it had a hole in the rooftop window. While these features were intact on the high roof casting, its paintwork was in a far worse state. I had to craft a replacement table for the low roof one as well as source a new window piece and right hand door.
