El Aguila Marbles (The Rise Of Vacor De Mexico part 2)

In this video we explore the vintage prelude to the Vacor De Mexico marbles company, Manufacturas De Vidrio El Aguila S.A. We are joined once again by generous guests/co-owners from the family business: Alejandro and Jorge Vazquez Medina, along with Mary Vazquez and David Tamulevich. 🟢⚪️ 🔴 Very little was publicly known about El Aguila before the Vazquez Medina family agreed to take part in these intwrviews. I am very grateful for their time, information and energy! Manufacturas De Vidrio El Aguila produced colorful, quality toy glass marbles from about 1960 to 1969 in Mexico City, Mexico. The owners: Carlos Vazquez, Jorge Vazquez Medina and Alejandro Vazquez Medina later moved to Guadalajara, Mexico to form the most successful machine-made marbles company in the world : Vacor De Mexico. (1970) The El Aguila marbles products were available in the market in Mexico and Spain, before breaking into the entire European market. These marbles were not distributed to the United States and Canada.
