It hurts to stand and it definitely hurts to walk. So. Bad. I had trouble sleeping last night so I took some Excedrin and Benadryl. We repacked our bags and shipped some of our belongings back home. We ate at “Brunch…” and I tried my first French Croquette. It was really good! Although it was beautiful..it was kind of miserable. We walked along the port of Dover towards the Ferry and the Cliffs of Dover. I was exhausted but the ferry was revitalizing. I didn’t realize how big it was. It was literally like a cruise ship and they had a lot of different rooms. Nick used coins to pay for the First Class Treatment.. all you can eat and drink .. which was £43. It took a while. We made some friends on the bus in Dover and we stuck with them until we departed ways in Calais. We ate lots of food and had lots of drinks at the Club Lounge. It was a lot of fun. One guy was from the UK and the other was from Norway so we were all comparing each other's accents. We met another couple who we all talked with. We took a bus from the ferry and then continued on our journey. Nick and I walked from Calais to Guînes. It was very VERY painful. We walked for around 5 hours down through fields and city and traffic. It wasn’t the prettiest path I’ve seen by far. And the concrete is not very nice to walk on. Nick and I got so excited to see a thick dirt path and it was super soft that our boots would dig holes when we walked. It felt weirdly so good! Haha. We also saw lots of poop..and dead animals..and more POOP…EVERYWHERE!? It was nasty but will remain a memory haha. (QUICK PAUSE IN WRITING FOR A MASSAGE) It was incredibly painful but we got to Guînes. The bed and breakfast was closed but the hosts were very nice and found another place for us to stay. We were there for a bit playing with their dogs though! The small dog loved passing me his toy for me to roll another way but he would try to catch it before I could hit it so it was entertaining for the both of us. We walked to the other Bed and Breakfast and got ready for bed. We massaged each other and nick fell asleep quickly. I, on the other hand, couldn’t really sleep. I closed the windows and turned on the tv. The tv was playing Totally Spies which I was so happy about the nostalgia and I felt at peace. After watching tv for a bit, I fell asleep around 2am.
