4 of the most unusual places to visit in the UK

When we are out on our trips we always try and find some out of the ordinary places to explore and learn about the history and stories associated with them. In tis video we show 4 of sone of the most unusual places we have visited recently. The first location is the world famous Jodrell Bank, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. There is lots of fascinating history covering the early beginnings of the observatory in December 1945 and contribution the facility made to space discoveries and exploration. The next site is The Old battery at The Needles on the Isle of Wight. The original battery was built between 1861 and 1863, a period when the French Navy was a constant threat to the English coast. Next we take you round the absolutely fascinating Cold War bunker near St Andrews in Scotland. The extensive museum gives you a comprehensive insight of how the government developed monitoring and emergency communications =operations during the Cold War. The final location is Quarry bank Mill near Styal in Cheshire. The factory was built in 1784 by Samuel Greg. By 1832 it was the targets cotton mill and factory in the United Kingdom.
