Kawasaki KE175 Restoration Part 6
Hi everyone, in this video I am applying some topcoat to the parts. I am also working on the gas tank and cleaning that up from the inside and then prepare the outside of the tank for painting. I chose not to be too fussy with the gas tank as it wasn't in the best condition just a quick tidy up fill the dents and then later on, I will find a tank in much better condition. I avoided a near disaster and a lesson learnt do not use paint stripper on plastics as the side cover now had pitted surface paint stripper made the plastic soft and was able to fix it in the end by sanding and a light coat of body filler. I am self-taught, always learning and do make mistakes quite often or even may miss a step / method in the process. By all means this is not a professional restoration business or how to video it's just a hobby I enjoy and making do with what I have. I don't edit anything out of my videos I like to share my projects on YouTube so when you see my mistakes, please don't do or follow what I did and i hope you can learn from it too. There's always room for improvement, we are all here to learn from each other! Enjoy the video.
