Yoshimura-ya, the originator of Iekei ramen and a restaurant that continues to boast an overwhelming number of customers in the Iekei ramen scene. We went behind the scenes at the preparation site of Chairman Yoshimura Minoru, who continues to uphold the taste. We got an up-close look at the preparation of the char siu, toppings, and soup! The filming lasted approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes, from around 12:30 AM to just before 9:00 AM! Due to the long duration, there was a mishap where the camera stopped working due to a dead battery, but we managed to film somehow. We edited the approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes of video down to about 3 hours, and then further edited it into a 25-minute digest version for this post! The 3-hour video will be posted this summer, with further editing (planned to be in two parts). This time, we believe we were able to go beyond simply showing the preparation process and give you a glimpse of Chairman Yoshimura's true self.
