Wacław Gudowski is professor of Reactor Physics and Neutron Physics, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden, professor at the National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ), advisor, Orlen Synthos Green Energy (OSGE). The forum is focused on discussing modern SMR nuclear reactors (small modular reactors), which are constructed in a way that ensures minimal impact on the natural environment and ensures high safety properties based on the laws of nature (e.g. natural convection). One part of the discussion will be an analysis of the possibility of burning spent nuclear fuel currently stored in small amounts, thanks to which nuclear energy can become fully sustainable (apart from the lack of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere). The leading lecturer will be prof. NCBJ and KTH Wacław Gudowski - nuclear energy specialist and excellent popularizer of this field of science and technology. The accompanying lecture will be delivered by prof. Mariusz Dąbrowski on modular high-temperature reactors, which, in addition to generating electricity, can be an excellent source of process heat for the chemical industry. The lecture will be delivered by prof. Konrad Czerski on modular two-fluid reactors, of which he is a co-creator (international patent DFR WO2013041085-A2). #smr #science #physics
