Every Building Is Gone! | Orlando Sun Resort Update | June 6, 2026

The transformation of Orlando Sun Resort has reached a major milestone. For the first time since I began documenting this project, every building on the property is now gone. What remains are the pools, roadways, utility infrastructure, and piles of rubble as the site prepares for whatever comes next. Looking back at earlier updates, it’s remarkable to see how dramatically this property has changed in such a short period of time. What was once a functioning resort is now a blank canvas awaiting redevelopment. This is one of the reasons I enjoy documenting construction and redevelopment projects from the air. The scale of change can be difficult to appreciate from the ground, but from above, the story becomes clear.
