Are you trying to become a faster runner? Use the supercompensation curve. Are you trying to climb mountains quicker? Use this curve. Are you trying to recover from an injury? Use this curve! The supercompensation model is so simple and I wish more recreational athletes would use it! It's fundamental in understanding that your workouts need to be taking you towards a specific outcome. And while random workouts are going to help keep you to at the fitness level, they're not going to have enough of an impact on you physiologically or muscularly to make a change to your system.
