Pokemon Voice Compare - Bea

Editor's Opinion: All three actors do a good job as Bea, although I don’t really like the early 2020s trend of multi-casting the same actors for characters in Pokemon media. Sword and Shield, and Bea especially, is where it really started to feel noticeable. That said, Laura Stahl definitely sets the bar for the fighting gym leader. Bringing a lively energy that portrays the determined, persevering aspects of Bea well in an emotional performance. I do think Stahl’s voice sounds a little light (soft) for the character. But overall: Laura Stahl does a fine job. Tiana Camacho takes a very different direction with the character. Which was met with both praise and criticism from fans online. Personally, I think her deeper, more mature voice is fitting. Given the stern, intense and disciplined gym leader and trainer prodigy angle they were going for. Camacho does get to portray a fair range in her performance, though I’d be lying if I said Camacho didn’t come off as stiff at times. Overall: Tiana Camacho also does a fine job. Shara Kirby strikes a nice balance of sounding like a lively fighting type trainer and capable gym leader. While not perfect, Kirby does an admirable job at adding personality to the English accent, and helps her stand out. Kirby also portrays all of Bea’s qualities that the other actors had, in a stern, determined, disciplined, confident and energetic performance. While the direction does hold back her performance a bit, overall: Shara Kirby delivers a solid performance. I definitely have to say Shara Kirby is my favorite English voice for Bea. *BONUS Fan-cast: I would keep Shara Kirby as Bae, one of the better accent works in Masters EX.
