Tying the Tarpon Sardeen fly pattern
I tied this fly before a trip to Central America with the intention of creating a simple yet highly effective pattern that closely imitates prey, both in its appearance and in the lifelike movement in the water. It proved very effective on hunting tarpon. Given this success, I plan to use it for local European predators next; I bet the large size might excel for pike and zander, while the smaller version (hooks 2–4) should be perfect for asp . #flytying #tarpon #sardine #pike #zander #asp #flyfishing #saltwater
