The Davy Knot is the only knot I use for my fly fishing. Sure, you might need a different knot for multiple fly rigs or making tapered lines are whatever. But especially if you're starting out with tenkara and only fishing a single fly, this knot will do it all! p.s. I have only needed to use the Double Davy one single time.
