Whisky Review #64 | Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2013 10 Year Old 50% ABV
Hi folks. This time I am journeying to Islay, and trying out the Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2013 10 year old, the latest Bere Barley expression. It still remains my favourite expression from core range Bruichladdich, although it is becoming more and more expensive. If you can find it discounted for under £90, I really do recommend it if you are a fan of Bruichladdich. Overall I found it to be quite complex, packed full of flavour with the following notes: Peaches, toffee apples, pineapple, melon, oranges, sweet lemon, malted barley, waxy quality, honey, and beautiful chalky minerality that remains throughout the entire dram. These are just some of the notes...I am sure there are more. Overall, a complex dram and I actually prefer this to the recent 18 year old. More youthful obviously, but fresher and more vibrant in my opinion. Hope you enjoy the review guys :)
