How to Fabricate a Long Arm Orthosis

Occupational therapists demonstrate and explain the process of making a long arm orthosis / elbow, forearm, and wrist orthosis / elbow orthosis / elbow splint. This video includes how to make the pattern, how to fabricate the orthosis, and how to apply straps, as well as helpful tips and tricks along the way. This elbow orthosis design immobilizes the elbow, forearm, and wrist on the posterior aspect. In this video, the elbow is immobilized in 90° of flexion, forearm in neutral, and wrist in neutral; however this can be modified according to the patient's needs.
