Synchronous Fireflies At Elkmont Campground - Great Smoky Mountains National Park
For the first time, we were able to view the synchronous fireflies that make their appearance each year, at Elkmont Campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The fireflies use bioluminescence, which is a light-producing chemical reaction, in order to attract a mate. It is a very interesting and wonderful experience!
