Fishing the Top Pool for Grayling on the Welsh Dee at Llangollen

In December, grayling begin to school in the larger pools on the Welsh Dee, which provide sanctuary from winter floods. The Top Pool at Llangollen is one such place that offers some great winter grayling fishing. Euronymphing is often the best method for fishing the upper section of the pool. Whereas, fishing team of spiders / wet flies on a long line is a great way to catch grayling in the middles section of the Top Pool.
