This is the 8th prototype of the railbike I am designing and building. We are at a point where many different variations work well, but are now optimizing for ultimate performance. In this version, I acquired a set of wheels that were specifically made for a rail bike, but the width of the rail we were testing on was too thick, and the flanges in my opinion were not ideal. We will likely go back to a verison similar to #7 where the side flanges were actually horizontal wheels. This was the best scenario to date.
