In the world of Middle Earth there exists a story not of goodness, joy, and hope amidst ruin. Rather, it is a tale of sorrow, death, terrible choices and unspeakable tragedy. Today, in this Nixxiom Talks video, I am discussing JRR Tolkien's most controversial book, the Children of Hurin. In this rather dark video I discuss not only the story itself - having delighted in it for the first time recently - but the themes of this piece of literature and how, at least in my opinion, I find many of its criticisms to be false.
