Hidden Lake Lookout- North Cascades, WA
The Hidden Lake Lookout has been called one of the "crown jewels" of the North Cascades when it comes to hikes, and deservedly so. On this late summer hike we followed the Sibley Creek/Hidden Lake trail through some forest, up through he vast wildflower meadows, and to the alpine ridges that lead you up to the Hidden Lake Lookout. Even though there was smoke blocking a lot of the views to the south and west, the scenery was still breathtaking. At around 8.5 miles roundtrip, and 3,300 feet of elevation gain, this hike is in the moderate to hard range, but the payoff is worth it.
