We planned to stay for two nights and three days, camping at the Kitakamazawa confluence and heading to Mt. Yari from the Kitakama Ridge, staying at the Yari-ga-take Mountain Lodge on the second day. It was the first time for all three of us to attempt the Kitakama Ridge. In preparation for this challenge, we focused on practicing ropework and bouldering.
