Women of NYSCOPBA Press Conference 050923

A large contingent of women correction officers who work inside some of New York's most dangerous men's maximum-security prisons hold a press conference at the NYS Capitol to call on the State to protect staff from sexually charged actions by the incarcerated community. Since HALT, the frequency and severity of types of actions like sexual assaults, sexual harassment and lewd misconduct towards staff by the incarcerated community has increased since the implementation of the HALT Act in April 2022.
