Hiking the Del Norte Trail of Santa Cruz Island
In the Spring of 2024, I hiked the Del Norte Backbone trail of Santa Cruz Island. The trail is point-to-point, has 3000 feet of elevation change, and is 13 miles. I took the ferry to Prisoner's Harbor, hiked across the island, caped at Scorpion Ranch, and then caught the ferry home from Scorpion Cove.
