My name is Wagner Barbosa, I am a musician, singer, songwriter, vocal producer/director and singing teacher for over 15 years. I have worked with names like Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa, Carlinhos Brown, Vanessa Moreno, Criolo and many other big names in music. My story with music started early, at 9 I was already studying guitar. Now, singing… (wow!) Sit down, because here comes a story! I spent a lot of my life hearing that “singing is for those who have a gift,” but I refused to fall for that line and give up on my dream. I also went through enormous difficulties with my own voice and thought about giving up countless times, almost believing that singing wouldn't be possible for me. After going through several “professionals” who blamed me for not improving, I hit the road in search of my “gift,” investing a LOT of time (more than 15 years), a lot of money, and dedication in research, studies, and lessons with some of the best professionals in the world. I sought to learn for my voice and also to learn how to teach, and, having gone through so many difficulties with my own voice, I learned an infinite number of paths for the voices I taught. After more than 15 years and thousands of reais invested, I became a certified teacher of the IVA method (mentor), and I was a teacher and representative in Latin America of the Speech Level Singing method (2014/Level 2). I am a postgraduate specializing in Voice and Coaching at CEV (Center for Voice Studies); I have a degree in popular guitar from ULM (EMESP); and a postgraduate specialization in Brazilian Music from FAP - PR, and I've never stopped studying! I was also a co-producer of the Closing Ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympics and a five-time instructor at the European Vocal Camp, the largest gathering of singers in Europe. Today I work with producers of the caliber of Alê Siqueira (3 Grammys, 2 Billboard awards, among others) and Kassin (4 Grammys, among many other awards).
