Russia has officially unveiled a concept for its next-generation first-class sleeper carriage, marking the most significant transformation of premium rail travel since the Soviet era. Developed by Transmashholding and the Lab 20/50 design center, the new SV (Spalny Vagon) is based on Russia's larger "Gauge T" standard, allowing engineers to rethink the passenger experience from the ground up. The new coach features longer two-meter sleeping berths, significantly improved storage solutions, individual armrests, modernized interiors, and dedicated shower facilities in every carriage.
