Time To Get Pens Ready........By Taking Parts Down? | A Gamekeepers Diary

TIME TO GET PHEASANT PENS READY.......BY PULLING PARTS DOWN? This week it's time to get the pheasant pens ready for the season ahead. We start putting Water Master 2E bell drinkers into the pens along with the Manola feeders, before carrying out repairs to damaged wire and fixing the electric fencing. We also acid-clean the water system to flush through the pipework and get everything ready for the poults. After that it's out with the strimmers to clear around the pens and make everything accessible before the tree harvesters arrive to carry out work in the woodland. Plenty of jobs to get through, but every one of them is an important step in getting the pens prepared for another season.
