Gujo Hachiman 🇯🇵 : Japan’s Most Beautiful Water Town; Nagoya Road Trip Series

Hey everyone, Today on Gibbon Travelogue, we continue our Nagoya Road Trip with a visit to Gujo Hachiman, a picturesque castle town in Gifu Prefecture known as the “Town of Water.” 00:00 After a morning stop at Takayama’s historic Miyagawa Morning Market, 01:20 we drive into the mountains to explore Gujo Hachiman’s crystal-clear canals, traditional wooden streets, and rich feudal history. 02:07 We visit the former Senryu-kan domain school, 02:50 experience the famous Sogi Sui Spring, 03:51 and even try making ultra-realistic sushi replicas at Sanpuru Kobo. 05:41 After the workshop, we stroll through Yanaka Lane 08:43 and Igawa Lane, 09:49 We enjoy a relaxing riverside coffee break, 11:09 before climbing up to Gujo Hachiman Castle for breathtaking valley views. 11:50 We end the day back in Nagoya with mass at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul 13:57 and an unforgettable Hida beef feast at Bakuro Ichidai Nagoya West. 15:14 Gujo Hachiman truly surprised us with its flowing waters, timeless charm, and incredible food.
