AU. During WWII when Steve goes to save Bucky, he finds Clara instead who says she's an alien, a Time Lady. He rescues her and they go on adventures and slowly fall in love. Clara is trying to find a way to go back in time during the Time War and save Gallifrey and her people (and its a fixed point in time so she can't use her TARDIS to go there). Loki tries to tempt her to join him by offering her the power of the Infinity Stones so she'll be able to break the lock on the Time War. This leads to an argument between her and Steve but they make up and defeat Loki. During the fight with Thanos, Clara is able to communicate with the Time Lords and asks them to help Steve. They're able to reverse the Thanos Snap and bring everyone back but Clara is sent to the Time War as a consequence. Steve now travels in the TARDIS and tries to find a way to save her and he refuses to give up on her.
