Déficit et dette publics - Éducation aux finances publiques

Replay of the live event from March 12, 2026 The French social welfare system is undergoing a period of transformation. Melchior presents a series of three conferences and debates to analyze the public finance issues that shape the French economic and political debate. In this second debate, entitled "Public Deficit and Debt," the speakers revisited these topics in a discussion with a three-pronged approach: economic, political, and sociological. This provided an opportunity to clarify essential concepts (deficit, debt, interest payments, budget balance, etc.) and analyze the central issue of sustainability, while also addressing debt as a social and power dynamic.
