A Mountain Hut, a Summit and a Peaceful Camp in Omeo.

G'day all! Today was ANZAC Day, and so i begun my day with the Dawn Service in Bright. The weather was looking beautiful and sunny, and quite a bit windy, so i thought it would be a PERFECT day for a hike. Sunny and Windy is a great recipe for a hike! Keeps you cool and less sweaty! So, a hike in the Alpine sounded great, and Derrick Hut and Mt Loch in Hotham were calling my name. The original plan for today was to hike to Derrick Hut and Mt Loch and then enjoy a high elevation camp at a spot that i had saved from my Buffalo Ranges trip last year. Because of the high winds, a high elevation camp would have been horrible, so i decided to head down to Omeo to camp. I figured this would get me out of the wind, but also get me an earlier start to the day for tomorrow where i head up to Nunniong. I ended up staying in the Holiday Park in Omeo, and it ended up being a really peaceful camp. The morning was cold and frosty, and was the first real chance i had to test out my new setup.
