Eliminating Ground Loop Hum/Clicking From a USB DAC
As a result of some driver issues, I was using the USB input on my DAC instead of the SPDIF (optical digital) input. I found I had ground loop hum as a result. I had a second DAC and tried it with the same results (ground loop hum). Finally discovered that a USB isolator resolves the issue. While technically not a hum, it is a grounding issue.
