Cherry Blossom in Kitakami Tenshochi北上展勝地さくらまつりの満開の桜・岩手観光　桜便り 日本の桜 日本櫻花

ディスカバーニッポン・撮影：2014.4/25 岩手県の北上展勝地さくらまつりは、東北三大桜名所のひとつ。南部藩の宿場として栄えた北上の東側を流れる北上川の左岸の北上展勝地園内には約１万本の桜が植えられており、珊瑚橋から２キロに渡って700本の桜並木が続く。毎年４月中旬から５月上旬までは桜祭りも開催され、観光馬車や船下りなども出て行楽客でにぎわう。北上川に沿って続く、桜並木の周辺は川岸と畑が続き、観光馬車もゆっくりと走りながら、まさに牧歌的な雰囲気が味わえる。樹齢８０年を超える桜は圧巻で、頭上を覆い尽くし、まさに桜のトンネル。さらに川沿いを眺めれば対岸から桜並木までロープが張られた大小300匹の鯉のぼりが青空に舞う景色も美しい。歩き疲れれば、タンポポが生える川岸の草むらに座りながら緩やかに流れる北上川を眺めながめて過ごせるのもいい。いかにも遅い東北の春が、肌で感じられる桜並木でもある。 Cherry Blossom in Kitakami Tenshochi The Kitakami Tenshochi Cherry Blossom Festival is held annually from april to may. renowned as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in michinoku, along with Hirosaki in Aomori and Kakunodate in Akita. Alongside the cherry blossom, vivid carp-shaped streamers swim in the air above the Kitakami River. Together with pleasure boat cruising, a horse-driven carriage also rolls through the avenue of cherry blossom creating a nostalgic atmosphere. At night, the promenade of cherry blossom is lit up.
