(S-1 Ep-14) DIY Large Rawhide Mallet

Large sized rawhide mallets are prohibitively expensive IF you can find them! Yet, such a tool is very handy around the boat shop for coaxing various items into place where you do not wish to mar the surface. Here is how I made mine for only about $4.00 and you can easily make one for yourself as well. Chances are pretty good you’ve never had or used such a tool when working on your boat. I never did either until a couple of years ago when I saw a blacksmith on YouTube using one. That gave me some ideas and prompted me to make my own (after I discovered how much vendors wanted for them). Since then, I’ve discovered this mallet to be one of my regular (and favorite) “go-to” tools in my shop. I hope you enjoy this video! Don’t forget to “like,” subscribe (“ring the bell”), and share this video! A few simple clicks from you will cost you nothing, and really helps my channel. Many thanks if you’re willing to help me out this way. Remember – There are several FREE PLANS available in pdf download format on my Patreon page.
