FLASHOVER. O que Acontece Dentro da SUA CASA Durante o INCÊNDIO

What Happens Inside Your Home During a Fire So, you've seen a movie where a wooden house catches fire, and you understand. But how does fire behave in a fire inside your home? Today I'll explain what the Flashover Phenomenon is and how it happens. My name is Douglas Paraizo, I'm a military firefighter and Marine, and I teach firefighting, working at heights, confined spaces, and rescue. And today I'll explain how fire can behave inside your home during a fire. In this video, I'll quickly mention some ways fires spread and talk about flashover. This is the third video in a series about uncomplicated firefighting. I recommend that if you haven't seen the others, go to the playlist and watch the previous ones. As in the first videos, I won't dwell on or ask you to memorize the rules and concepts. Instead, I'll focus on showing you the most important practical aspects so you understand how these phenomena work and can prevent or at least minimize the damage fire can cause. I won't go into too much technical detail, nor will I cover the phenomena that precede flashover in great detail to keep the video from becoming too long. Let's say a fire breaks out in your home due to a short circuit, a lit candle that sets your curtains on fire, or an accident in the kitchen like the boilover I showed in the previous video and will be here on the card... Fire has three main forms of propagation: conduction, convection, and radiation. I'll make a specific video about all three, but to summarize: Conduction Is the process by which heat is transmitted directly from one substance to another and from one molecule to another, that is, without gaps between the bodies. Convection Is the heat transmission process characteristic of fluids (LIQUIDS AND GASES). When heated, these fluids decrease in density, become lighter, and move upward. Irradiation Is the form of heat transmission through a wave of heat energy that moves through space or materials. All three of these phenomena will occur during a fire. Comment below if you're already familiar with these forms of fire propagation. FashOver This phenomenon occurs when, during the free-burning phase of a fire, the fire gradually heats all the combustible materials in the environment. When certain fuels reach their ignition point, these materials will simultaneously burn instantly, which could lead to an environmental explosion. It's very important that those of you with this knowledge share this information, as situations like this are incredibly common.
