How to build a Bamboo backed Osage reflex deflex long bow

a Bamboo backed osage reflex deflex long bow is a great way to get started into bow building if you're' not quite ready to tackle a selfbow or primitive bow from scratch. The process combines techniques from both the selfbow and laminate bow building processes. This video will show you step by step how to build a laminated longbow from natural materials that are readily available from archery supply houses like 3Rivers. With some slight modifications to the process, you could also make a recurve or straight limbed Howard Hill style long bow using the same techniques. Although these bows are a little different than the wood bows I'm accustomed to making, it was relatively easy to build and shot well. These bows would be a great way to become more involved with archery and would make an excellent choice for bow hunting or target archery.
