ريم القاضي | هاكِ حياتي أكرّسها لمعرفتك المشغل تكشف أفكار «التبادل» مجازات من النظر، الحديث، والتذكّر. نحن نمارس التبادل مع الأشخاص الذين تعرض متعلقاتهم للمتاجرة: معروضة فوق بطّانيّات في الشوارع، تحت أفخاخ في سوق الجمعة، أو حتّى فوق الجسد ذاته (ثمّة رجل يبيع منافض غبار، مصنوعة من الريش، موصولة بجسده). تصبح هذه المعاملات نقطة الانطلاق لمعرض الحاجيّات هذا. ريم القاضي فنانة، مقيمة في المنطقة العربيّة، تعمل من خلال عدّة ممارسات فنيّة بصريّة. Artist Talk with Rheim Alkadhi, November 2013 Ideas of 'exchange' reveal metaphors of looking, speaking, and remembering. We practice exchange with people whose belongings are offered for trade -- displayed atop blankets on the streets, under tarps at the Friday market, or even on the body itself (one man sells feather .dusters attached to his clothes). Such transactions become the starting point for this exhibition of objects .Rheim Alkadhi is an artist engaged in an expanding visual practice; she is based in the Arab region.
