WHAT'S OUT THERE? Solo Backpacking the Eastern Superstition Wilderness
Join me on this long awaited, 3 day backpacking trip in the seldom seen Eastern Superstition Wilderness. Most trails in the Eastern Supes have been basically abandoned since the Woodbury fire destroyed many of the wooded canyons in 2019. With such destruction, the wilderness has reclaimed many miles of the trails in the area, and current info on water sources, camping spots and trail conditions is thin. Nevertheless, I trudged through and completed the 45 mile loop without a single ounce of energy left! Happy to check this box, because I can't imagine putting myself through this again, at least not until the trail crews make it out there.
