Instagram:   / itsgabventures   Location: Porteau Campgrounds, BC Canada Date filmed: February 22 to 23, 2024 My first camping trip of the New Year 2024!~ Join me and my dog Lucky for some winter camping nearby Vancouver, called Porteau Campgrounds. It's about a 30 minute drive from the city - convenient for a spontaneous getaway. I was blessed with some sun, which made setting up a breeze. I was able to get comfortable quickly and truly relax as I admired the amazing view of the mountains and ocean. Porteau is a good pick during the colder seasons, not only for it's proximity to the city, but as one of the few campgrounds with electrical hookups. I was warm and toasty inside the tent with my heater going. Though I have to say, with spring around the corner, I often found myself not needing a jacket! With spring around the corner, the sounds of the seals were especially loud - something to definitely look out for at Porteau. Nevertheless, I had one of the best camping experiences and got to unwind in nature. So grab a cup of tea or coffee, and relax with me!
