Watch as Mike and the crew lay up a full composite deck and fabricate custom composite deck hatches, replicating every last detail of the original factory deck right down to the round hatch under the helm seat and those classic teak-style covers — only now in modern, void-free composite construction. In this segment, we walk you through the complete vacuum infusion process from setup to cure — how we position the resin feed lines, pull vacuum, and wet out the laminate to produce a lightweight composite structure built to outlast the original by decades. We also show how we build the new deck hatches using the same composite technology, capping them with simulated vinyl teak decking to honor the original 1979 look.
