Founded in 2014 as a riding group by Merthan and Fırat, West Riders took the first steps toward customization due to a lack of funds and the inability to find a workshop that would customize their motorcycles to their liking and needs. The duo began assembling their own motorcycles as a hobby in 2015 and set up their first workshop in a basement in 2016 with a few simple hand tools inherited from their father. It wasn't until a year later that they finally got above ground. In 2019, prompted by requests from friends, they began working on motorcycles other than their own. Later that year, after Berke joined the team, it took its final shape and began providing professional services.
