Unterarm-Fraktur

http://www.orthopaedieratgeber.de/home/ http://www.leopoldina-krankenhaus.com The forearm consists of the radius and the ulna. Both bones are adjacent to each other at the wrist and elbow joints. The forearm is the area most frequently affected by bone injuries, i.e., breaks or fractures. This injury is particularly common in children and older adults. Depending on the location and/or severity of the fracture, conservative treatment (usually a cast) is a good option. For more complicated fractures, surgical treatment, usually minimally invasive, is usually the treatment of choice. The advantage of surgical treatment is that no additional cast treatment is required, and early movement and use of the hand is possible.
