You can reach the Royal View gondola from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen, Lauterbrunnen from Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen to Junfraujoch, and Lauterbrunnen to Grindelwald. These are all the major tourist towns and attractions in the valleys of the Jungfrau Switzerland and doable as a day trip from Lauterbrunnen. Lauterbrunnen attractions focus around outdoor activities like hiking, parasailing, boat tours on the two lakes, bike riding, etc. These are all great things to do in Interlaken Switzerland. Another great thing is just to have a picnic along the path. There are many restaurants but you can go into the COOP grocery store in Wengen or Luaterbrunnen next to the hotels near Lauterbrunnen train station and pick up some relatively inexpensive snacks. If you are looking for places to visit in the Jungfrau valley, you can take a gondola bahn up to Murren from Lauterbrunnen where you can walk or take a train. Then hike to Gimmelwald where you can stay in the mountain hostel Gimmelwald. There's no shortage of what to do in Lauterbrunnen or things to do in Lauterbrunnen Switzerland. Lauterbrunnen is a village and a municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It can be reached from Wengen by the Wengen–Männlichen aerial cableway, or from Grindelwald using the Grindelwald–Männlichen gondola cableway (GM). It then takes 15 minutes to walk to the summit. It is a popular viewpoint over the Lauterbrunnen valley and a popular start location for hikers and skiers. At the top there is also a wonderful playground with slides and bowling and a giant cow slide. The panorama trail goes right through it and there are great views into the Lauterbrunnen valley.
